On the heels of his award-winning Broadway show The New One, which made its West Coast premiere on the Ahmanson stage, comedian and storyteller Mike Birbiglia returns to Center Theatre Group with a tale of life, death, and a highly chlorinated YMCA pool. With his unique form of comedic storytelling, Birbiglia chronicles a coming-of-middle-age story that asks the big questions: Why are we here? What’s next? And what happens when the items at the doctor’s office that you thought were decorative become quite useful?

The fundraising concert held by the Well Mission (Rev. Esther J. Na) will be at Walt Disney Concert Hall on the 77th anniversary of Liberation Day. The theme of this concert is “liberation.”
The Los Angeles Sinfonietta, under the direction of music director James Yongjae Kim, will present various stages where visitors can appreciate Korea's independence in one place, including gem-like classical music and pianist Rufus Choi's Rhapsody in Blue. It will be held as a concert performance to share the joy of liberation through a concert to commemorate Liberation Day and pray for unification with mainstream American society.
The proceeds from the fundraising concert will be awarded to 23 homeless and low-income students to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of its foundation.

Land Acknowledgement
Situated on the ancestral and sacred land of the Tongva and many other indigenous groups who call these grounds home, The Music Center acknowledges and honors with gratitude the land itself and the First People who have been its steward throughout the generations.
We Stand With Black Communities
We mourn the countless unjust deaths of Black people. We recognize the inexcusable pain and suffering that Black individuals and Black communities experience daily as a result of racial injustice and violence, and we stand with those who are raising their voices for justice. Black lives matter.
The Music Center must listen, learn and redouble its efforts to seek out meaningful steps and actions that ensure that every member of our community is treated with dignity. We must work even harder to create, support and uplift art that is rooted in compassion, truth and cultural equity and to provide an inclusive, collaborative, creative, and safe space for marginalized voices in our community to be heard.

Let's Reconnect L.A.
Give now and help us reconnect – with the arts, with each other and with our community. Your gift supports all programs of The Music Center Arts, including unforgettable performances, learning in hundreds of schools, community partnerships and immersive experiences that welcome everyone.
