Abernethy's
abernethysla.comAs a destination restaurant, Abernethy’s offers diners the opportunity to taste cultures and explore food as emerging chefs are offered their own platform for culinary creativity. Each new chef transforms Abernethy’s with inventive and personalized dishes inspired by the diverse people and cultures that fill the heart of Los Angeles. Chefs are selected by Abernethy's Culinary Advisory Committee comprised of some of L.A.'s legendary chefs and tastemakers, including Chefs Govind Armstrong, Susan Feniger, Ray Garcia, among others.
Top Chef finalist Shirley Chung (Ms Chi Café) was Abernethy’s inaugural chef, serving her version of progressive Chinese American cuisine. She was followed by Jason Fullilove (chef/owner, Barbara Jean) who served modern Soul food and Chef Geter Atienza (Chef de Cuisine, The H. Wood Group; Broken Spanish), who served modern Filipino cuisine. In early 2023, Chef Lenora Marouni, chef/owner of Barsha, wrapped up her elevated comfort Tunisian fare. Just recently, Chef Brad Willits of Market Venice featured his Modern Italian menu.
