Artist Q & A
What is your favorite memory about being in the L.A. County Holiday Celebration and why?
I think my favorite Holiday Celebration was singing our version of the “Twelve Days of Christmas”. Adam Davis said it was his least favorite Christmas song, but he asked us to do it again because he said it was such a cool performance. We even were asked to sing for a special KCET reception for donors that year. Truly, being involved in the Holiday Celebration has built a special bond in our choral community and the shared love for that community has been life changing!
What do you enjoy the most about performing in general?
Performing is such a special way for all of us to have a voice, regardless of background, as we all become one. We get to share our love of music with those we have bonded with so much. Every voice and every person are special together.
If you could say one uplifting thing to Los Angeles and the people watching your video now, what would it be?
The Holiday Celebration is so special because it gives us a snapshot of how wonderfully diverse and inclusive a community can be when we celebrate each other with the common goal of respect, and love through artistic expression!
