LOS ANGELES! #GO4THDTLA. Grand Park + The Music Center’s Fourth of July Block Party returns as the county’s largest free July 4th celebration. Featuring picnicking, games, art-making, music, dancing and a stunning fireworks show high above Downtown L.A., Grand Park + The Music Center’s Fourth of July Block Party is the ultimate summer holiday celebration.  Grab the best friends, the whole family, and main squeezes and enjoy a bit of togetherness under the beautiful Angeleno sky. 


The event will take place at Grand Park: 200 North Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, California 90012 and will encompass the entire park, from Grand Avenue to Spring Street, plus the surrounding streets.

Fireworks - Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. from the roof of The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and soar nearly 500 feet, making them visible throughout Downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods.

2 Music Stages - Two stages featuring DJs and live musical performances will entertain audiences throughout the celebration.

Food Trucks - The event offers a multitude of dining options from more than 40 vendors including the return of gourmet food trucks. 


Angelenos aren’t afraid of some spritz! The show must go on and will continue rain or shine.

Please note that umbrellas will not be allowed in the event.

Ponchos, rain boots, and waterproof outerwear are allowed.

Go Metro

Take Metro Red/Purple lines to CIVIC CENTER/GRAND PARK STATION (use 1st St exit; Temple St exit is only open for ADA/elevator access). Gold Line to UNION STATION or LITTLE TOKYO/ARTS DISTRICT STATION, then 7-12 min walk towards The Music CenterWhile the Metro Red/Purple Line to Civic Center/Grand Park Station exits directly into Grand Park, Pershing Square Station and Union Station are also within walkable distance (and might be less crowded!). Taking Rideshare Like Lyft Or Uber?

Use the drop off/pick up zone near the 1st Street and North Los Angeles Street event entrance/exit.

Bicycle Parking

LA County Bicycle Coalition’s Bike Valet available at Broadway and West 2nd Street. The valet service is free.


Recommended parking in lots surrounding Grand Park.  View surrounding garages. Note: The Music Center lot and Lot 10 underneath Grand Park will not be available.


Safety for everyone is número uno. Event entrance protocol includes mandatory bag checks, pat downs and metal detector wands for all patrons. To ensure lines move as quickly as possible, please plan ahead and read all event info below to know what is allowed and what is prohibited. Early arrival is recommended. Your patience is appreciated.
