Southern California Brass Consortium

L.A. County Holiday Celebration Featured Performers

About

Founded in 2013, the Southern California Brass Consortium (SCBC) grew out of the desire to form a large, professional brass ensemble that performs challenging, yet accessible music. In seven short years, SCBC has established itself as one of the Southland’s preeminent performing ensembles. In addition to having an annual concert series, SCBC is also a sought-after ensemble for performances at major theaters and community events.

The 25+ member group performs a wide range of compositions and styles. SCBC not only includes diverse talented brass players and percussionists, but also highly skilled arrangers and composers. Additionally, SCBC strives to present both new compositions and new arrangements of works by local and national composers. SCBC has premiered 11 new works by young, upcoming composers.

The goal of the SCBC is to share the exhilarating spirit of brass ensemble music through high-quality concerts, recordings and educational outreach.
