A TMC Arts Program SW!NG OUT One-to-One

Free individualized education program providing artistic development by the professionals at SW!NG OUT

SW!NG OUT One-to-One is a FREE individualized education program that provides anyone high school age or older with artistic development through expert advice and coaching by the cast and creative team of SW!NG OUT. This program is best suited for artists who are prepared to dive deeper into jazz-based arts study (Jazz Music, Vernacular Jazz, Lindy Hop, etc.) through disciplined, one-on-one instruction.

Apply and get the opportunity to hone your artistic skills in categories such as musicianship, choreography, dance pedagogy and more! Selected participants will be paired with a member of the SW!NG OUT cast and creative team for five, one-on-one, hour-long online sessions tailored to the individual's skills and interests. The program will also culminate in an experience-sharing workshop for all participants. 

SW!NG OUT One-to-One is presented by SW!NG OUT—a contemporary Swing Dance presentation directed by Caleb Teicher—in partnership with The Joyce Theater and The Music Center.

Meet the Cast and Creative Team

Accepted applicants in the program will be paired with a member of SW!NG OUT. 

  • Remy Kouakou-Kouame

    Dance

    An established teacher and performer for many years and award-winning competitor in Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz.

  • Gaby Cook

    Dance

    A veteran Lindy Hopper of all stripes and a teacher and performer in the global Lindy Hop scene.

  • Nathan Bugh

    Dance

    Known worldwide for his intimately rhythmic style of Lindy Hop and vernacular jazz. He "rocked the stage" at Carnegie Hall, dancing Lindy Hop with the New York Pops Orchestra.

  • Evita Arce

    Dance

    Internationally renowned Lindy Hop dancer and teacher.

  • Joshua Mclean

    Dance

    Lindy Hopper, educator and tradition bearer specializing in Lindy Hop, Charleston and other Swing-era dances.

  • LaTasha Barnes

    Dance

    Internationally acclaimed and awarded dancer, educator, coach and ambassador of culture.

  • Macy Sullivan

    Dance

    Dancer, rehearsal director and dance editor at Caleb Teicher & Company.

  • Eyal Vilner

    Music, Bandleader

    Saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and one of the leading voices in the New York Swing Scene.

  • Michael Jagger

    Dance

    Internationally recognized Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz dancer and choreographer.

  • Laura Glaess

    Dance

    Professional performer, teacher and competitor of Lindy Hop.

  • Brian Lawton

    Dance

    Dancer, instructor, choreographer and director with a background in Ballet, Jazz and Modern as well as Latin and Ballroom dances with a specialty in the vernacular jazz dances of the 1920s-1940s.

  • Ron Wilkins

    Music; Trombone

    Musician of over forty years performing on tenor and bass trombones, euphonium, tuba and bass trumpet.

  • Imani Rouselle

    Music; Vocalist

    Professional Jazz singer, influenced by music genres ranging from romantic symphonies to bluegrass, spirituals and hip-hop.

  • Eran Fink

    Music; Drums

    Active in the Jazz, R&B, Ethiopian and Afro-Cuban music scenes and sought-after accompanist at the top dance schools, including the Alvin Ailey School and Martha Graham School.

  • Joshua Lee

    Music; Saxophone

    Saxophonist, composer, arranger and managing and co-artistic director of Jazz Lives Philadelphia.
