Dance your heart out and into 2018 with best friends, sweeties, friendly neighbors, and those cousins from out-of-town at the West Coast’s flagship New Year’s Eve celebration. Grand Park and The Music Center’s N.Y.E.L.A. is the place to dream together and welcome new beginnings with a countdown on City Hall, live music, food, and photo booths in one big, beautiful, colorful Angeleno experience to remember! #NYELA

The West Coast’s flagship New Year’s Eve celebration will present L.A.’s biggest dance party with music and dancing onstage, on the dance floor and throughout Grand Park.  Adding digital imagery to personal style, the evening will include a free interactive motion-graphic activation that audiences can bring to life with their own moves and a unique only-in-Los Angeles New Year’s countdown, featuring 3-D digital video mapping on the side of the iconic City Hall.

Projections - Experience a spectacular interactive countdown to remember, featuring 3D digital video mapping on City Hall.

Angelenos aren’t afraid of some spritz! The show must go on! Grand Park + The Music Center’s N.Y.E.L.A. will continue rain or shine.

Please note that umbrellas will not be allowed in the event.

Ponchos, rain boots, and waterproof outerwear are allowed.

Getting Here

Go Metro

Go Metro: Metro will operate 24-hour, overnight service on Metro Rail, plus Orange and Silver Lines on New Year’s Eve with free fares from 9 p.m. on December 31, 2017 to 2 a.m. on January 1, 2018. While the Metro Red/Purple Line to Civic Center/Grand Park Station exits directly into Grand Park, Pershing Square Station and Union Station are also within walkable distance (and might be less crowded!). Use the drop off/pick up zone near the 1st Street and North Los Angeles Street event entrance/exit.

Bicycle Parking

LA County Bicycle Coalition’s Bike Valet available at Broadway and West 2nd Street. The valet service is free.


Safety for everyone is número uno. Event entrance protocol includes mandatory bag checks, pat downs and metal detector wands for all patrons. To ensure lines move as quickly as possible, please plan ahead and read all event info below to know what is allowed and what is prohibited. Early arrival is recommended. Your patience is appreciated.
