About Juke Bounce Werk
Juke Bounce Werk (JBW) has laid the groundwork in the expansion of Chicago Ghetto House, Juke and Footwork music in the group's native hometown of Los Angeles, California.
Juke Bounce Werk began as a local monthly event in Los Angeles in the spring of 2013, which flourished into a weekly staple, hosting the likes of the genre’s heavyweights such as RP BOO, JLIN, DJ Earl, DJ Clent and more.
JBW became an essential music platform via its Soundcloud through implementation of its weekly top 10 mix series, which saw participation from artists around the world. The series became the go-to standard for the global juke and footwork music community.
JBW released its debut various artist EP in the summer of 2014 and has since released over two dozen artist compilations and solo artist projects. They continue to push the sound as one of the most active DJ/production collectives across the country.
The collective has grown to international status with a total of 12 members across the U.S. and New Zealand. They continue to produce footwork inclusive dance events and showcases worldwide and regularly release digital and limited vinyl projects by their artist roster.
JBW has successfully dismantled genre boundaries by incorporating global underground sounds to illustrate the rich history and relationship within all styles of dance music.
