About
Founded in 1980, the Kim Eung Hwa Korean Dance Academy is dedicated to preserving traditional Korean dance and music. The non-profit institution, based in Koreatown, enriches the community by offering performing arts training to people of all ages, genders and ethnicities. Under the guidance of Director Eung Hwa Kim, the academy teaches traditional dance and music rooted in Korean history, including forms dating back to the Three Kingdoms era (1st - 6th century AD).
The academy has performed throughout Southern California at events like the Kingdom Day Parade, L.A. Korean Festival, Dodgers Korean Heritage Night and KCON.
