VOLUNTEER WITH ACTIVE ARTS®

Are you a fan? Active Arts is always looking for friendly, dedicated volunteers, also known as Activators, to support our programs. 

Who are Activators?

  • Activators are friendly, everyday people who are fans of Active Arts and simply enjoy do-it-yourself art-making for fun (e.g. dancing, singing, making music, telling stories, etc.)
  • Activators are Active Arts’ greatest asset and show their support by donating their time, creativity and energy.
  • Activators enjoy meeting new people, interacting with the general public and working as a team. 

What do volunteers do?

Activators are a vital part of the Active Arts team and are engaged in the following ways: 

  • Assist at events
  • Raise funds
  • Serve on short-term project teams
  • Spread the word about Active Arts
  • Share their special skills with Active Arts (e.g. bilingual, technology/social media, fundraising, etc.)

Volunteer Requirements

  • Must be an adult (18 years-old or older)
  • Must  have first-hand experience of Active Arts (i.e. participated in at least one Active Arts event)
  • Orientation and training required
