Below are resources created for the Music Center's 2005, 2006, and 2007 Institutes for Educators focusing on an 'anchor work' of art. An "anchor work" is a recognized significant work of art in any discipline that has sufficient artistic merit and intellectual heft to warrant careful aesthetic examination; rigorous analysis; criticism; and discussion of artistic principles as well as cultural, civic or social implications that students can draw from the work..
