Assembly:
Travel with Eth-Noh-Tec through humanity's age-old foibles and tribulations, and join them in celebrating the resilience of the human spirit. Nancy Wang and Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo, together as Eth-Noh-Tec since 1982, enchant their audiences as they tell stories with a playful blend of stylized movement, precision choreography, rhythmic dialogue and lively facial expressions. This seamless weaving of theatre, dance and music allows this magical Asian American duo to bridge the gaps that separate culture from culture, and to illuminate tales that address the shared experiences and humanity of all people. The artists present two unique storytelling programs.
Asian Treasure Bag - Richly layered in style and content, this show fuses Eastern and Western performance motifs and uses rhythmic dialogue, choreographed movement and comic facial gestures to embellish myriad tales about tricksters, gods and goddesses, heroes and heroines, and even the supernatural.
