Assembly:
Songs of life along the trail and out on the range sound sweet when sung with the warm sounds and tight harmonies of the Daughters of the Purple Sage & Friends. A trio who specialize in songs of the Golden West, Daughters of the Purple Sage & Friends are internationally acclaimed for their smooth vocals. Their music reflects an authenticity that is enjoyed by urban and rural listeners alike. The popularity of the group's polished blend and nostalgic style continues to grow as audiences are delighted by arrangements of such classics as Tumblin' Tumbleweeds and Shenandoah. Musical selections include songs of the Golden West and the Silver Screen. Daughters of the Purple Sage & Friends, otherwise known as Carolyn Baker (mandolin), Audrey McLaughlin (guitar) and Judy Murback (bass), help students take their own steps along the trail towards understanding the role music played in and on the American frontier.
