Former President Bill Clinton To Make A Special Appearance At The Music Center's Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

Tickets go on sale to the general public Monday, March 5, 2007 at 10 a.m.

LOS ANGELES (February 27, 2007) - Former President William Jefferson Clinton will make a special appearance as part of the 2007 Music Center Speaker Series on Sunday, April 15 at 8 p.m. at the Center's Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

"We welcome President Clinton back to the Music Center," states Music Center President Stephen Rountree. "He is a great complement to the series lineup that includes speakers who represent a wide-range of opinion and political orientation."

According to Alan Rothenberg, partner Savage/Rothenberg Productions, "We are pleased that President Clinton has been committed to the Music Center Speakers Series from its inception, and that he is returning to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. He is an engaging, exciting speaker who consistently provides our audiences with an insightful, knowledgeable point of view."

The Music Center Speaker Series presents a third year of eclectic and thought-provoking evenings in downtown Los Angeles. Speakers share insights informed by decades of experience at the highest levels of their professions. The series includes Dr. Maya Angelou, Former President George H.W. Bush, the Honorable Madeleine Albright, George Will, Fareed Zakaria, and in a rare L.A. appearance, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.

William Jefferson Clinton was elected President of the United States in 1992, and again in 1996. Under his leadership, the United States enjoyed the strongest economy in a generation and the longest economic expansion in U.S. history. President Clinton currently heads the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation, established to strengthen the capacity of people in the United States and throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence. To accomplish this mission, the Foundation currently focuses its work on: the battle against HIV/AIDS, climate change, global poverty and childhood obesity in the United States through the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
