This exhibition celebrates Stravinsky’s creative influence on dance-makers in Los Angeles, including rarely seen photographs by Otto Rothschild. This is the first time these photos and reconstruction materials of The Joffrey Ballet’s The Rite of Spring will be presented together. Curated by Lorin Johnson and Mark Konecny, this exhibition explores early dance innovation in Los Angeles from the 1910s to the 1930s as a synthesis of ideas from émigrés and local artists.
