ARCHITECTURE - Tour Walt Disney Concert Hall
Throughout the day you will have the special opportunity to tour Walt Disney Concert Hall including auditorium access. First come first served, based on availability.
Only on October 5:
Beginning at 10:30AM, every 15 minutes – docent-led tours* (30 minutes long)
At 10:30AM & 12:30PM – docent-led* Symphonian 4 Theatre tour (90 minutes long)
At 12:00PM & 1:00PM – Guided Tour with a Tour Guide (60 minutes long)
Anytime from 10AM to 2PM – go at your own pace, self-guided audio tours (60 minutes long). Last tour begins at 2pm.
Please note: All tours begin in the lobby of Walt Disney Concert Hall, located on the street level. *Docent-led tours have a maximum capacity of 20 guests.
DANCING – A Taste of Dance: Tex, Mex & Tex-Mex
20-minute lessons, eight dance styles, all in one day! No experience necessary.
FREE, in honor of the 10th anniversary celebration of Walt Disney Concert Hall on October 5. Tickets required, distributed on day of event. Maximum FOUR free tickets per person, to those waiting in line. No advance reservations needed.
Limited class sizes, first come first served. All dance styles/lessons appropriate for ages 5 and up. Wear comfortable attire/shoes. Tented dance floors provided.

12:00NOON to 12:20PM, 12:30PM to 12:50PM, and 1:00PM to 1:20PM – CHOOSE FROM THE FOLLOWING FOUR DANCE STYLES: Danza de los Viejitos, Quebradita, Square Dance or Tejano Cumbia
Enjoy a World City performance by the Grammy Award-winning Los Texmaniacs, which incorporate elements of rock and jazz into Tex-Mex conjunto, and California’s premiere folklorico ensemble, Pacifico Dance Company.

From 11:00am to 2:00pm, join the art-making at workshops specifically designed to deepen the connection between the cultures featured that day. Create something memorable to take home as a memento of your day at The Music Center!
EXPLORE YOUR CREATIVITY
Tap into your inner artist to create projects inspired by the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall (WDCH) under the guidance of The Music Center's Teaching Artists.
Materials and supplies provided, no experience necessary, all ages welcome.
Throughout the day from 10:30AM to 2:30PM, workshops as follows:
- WDCH Pop-Up Cards: Learn to make a parallel fold pop-up card with WDCH front and center.
- WDCH Rose Fountain Ceramics: Using the art of Japanese Nerikomi, mold blue and white clay into a miniature rose ceramic.
- Sketching WDCH: Make a gestural drawing of the iconic WDCH from your personal perspective.
- WDCH-Inspired Party Hats: Fashion a silver WDCH-inspired party hat to wear at the 10x festivities.
