Coaches trained in the Blended Coaching method will elicit from each candidate through questioning, observing and encouraging, their best practices and strongest evidence of highly effective arts instruction. From these meetings with colleagues, candidates will gain confidence in articulating their strengths and create changes where they feel they are needed.

Previous Bravo winners comprise at least half of the coaching community. Each candidate agrees that if chosen as winner by peers, they will come back within two years and receive training to serve as a coach. Members who do not win the Bravo Award are encouraged to continue in the community along the trajectory of growth toward pedagogical and artistic excellence with the goal of winning the award.
